The time is now to accelerate action on basic hygiene and good health to prevent infections, such as healthcare associated infections and viruses. Essity and WSSCC highlights Calls for actions to help overcome the hygiene and health challenges and build on the opportunities addressed in the report. Prioritizing and investing in hygiene and health, for example by raising standards and secure ownership, is vital.

on more inclusive societies

In this decade of action Essity and WSSCC call on policy makers to consider a number of Calls for action on more inclusive societies. Together we promote more inclusive societies by breaking barriers on stigmatized issues such as menstruation and incontinence. In order to ensure that large groups of people can participate fully in society it is equally important is to recognize the opportunities that innovation and digitalization brings, for example in person-centered care.
